1. Do you provide a receipt for Insurance coverage?
Psychotherapy and Social Work are regulated health professions in Ontario. Unfortunately, these services are not covered by OHIP. If you have extended health benefits through your employer, you may have coverage for psychotherapy and social work services. I encourage you to speak with your insurance provider to inquire about counselling services provided by a registered Social Worker (RSW) and to determine your approved rates of coverage.
After each session, I will provide you with a receipt with all of the information that is required for processing your claim. Also, it’s important to note that psychotherapy services provided by registered Social Workers are recognized as an income tax deductible medical expense by Revenue Canada.
2. What is your fee?
My fee is $150 for a 1 hour session. I accept payment by cash, e-transfer, cheque, and all major credit cards.
- I require 24 hours notice to cancel a scheduled appointment
- The full session fee will be charged for cancellations not made made within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment
3. How do I make an appointment?
To book an appointment, you can fill out the form on the “Contact Me” page and I will promptly connect with you via telephone or email. Alternatively, please call or text me directly at 416-527-2109 or send me an email at email@example.com.
4. Where are you located?
My office is located at 465 St. Johns Road, Toronto, ON M6S 2L1. There is plenty of free street parking available. I also offer virtual appointments.
5. What about confidentiality?
Confidentiality is very important to me. It is essential that you feel comfortable and safe to talk openly and honestly in our therapy sessions, knowing that everything you share will be kept private.
My professional code of ethics, under the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, requires that all information shared in counselling is kept confidential and can only be communicated, either directly or indirectly, with your informed and signed consent. Any exceptions to this rule will be discussed during our first appointment.
